Birthday party

Hello!
My son is turning 5 and entering reception. We want to organise his birthday in October and wonder if we shall invite the whole class? With friends from nursery, play dates + siblings etc we already came up with a list of 17 kids ! I adding up the whole class would make up almost 40! was considering gambado as he loves it but not for 40 kids! What do you guys do?
