Hi, I am looking for recommendations for a good and reliable builder to build a single story side return extension. Lifestyle Design and Build has been mentioned in previous posts, has anyone used them recently?

Hi Claremul, I can't say I've ever had any dealings with any of those businesses but I would recommend some great builders we've worked with on a professional basis and who I know are lovely guys to deal with on a personal level:

We used Leon from LJB Building. http://www.ljbbuilding.co.uk. Leon is a Kiwi and has been creating amazing spaces in London for years. He's done my side return in Putney and also 3 more of my friends houses, one in Brook Green and two in Putney. He won't rip you off, he's honest and reliable. We had a nightmare with a previous builder & learnt so many lessons. Leon had to fix all these problems, which he did. A really good guy.

Hello Claremul,

I have used Lifestyle Design and Build for loft conversion and extension. I never did building works before but they were very informative, they arranged the structural engineer and arranged everything with the council. What I liked is that we could get hold of them at any point, although there were some hiccups with the council, they dealt with it in a very professional manner and we were informed at every stage of the project.
