We rented a house in the Cotswolds for the weekend for exactly this for my mothers birthday a few years ago.

It was a gorgeous stone farmhouse and we spent the weekend running around the Cotswolds and visiting coffee shops.

Bliss.

It wasn't luxury though as we had to cook etc.

Are you looking for a hotel?

I would recommend Woolley grange manor in Wiltshire. Nice restaurant, great children's facilities including swimming pool, trampoline grounds to run around. You also have a crèche for 2 hours a day and the option of babysitters. They have children sussex out with the option of high tea at 6pm.
Spa onsite as well.

Pennyhill Park
Calcott Manor
The Manor at Castle Coombe

All of the above are wonderful places to stay with a variety of options for rooms, cottages etc.

Hi Petal

Why not try Gitcombe House Country Cottages & Leisure Spa in glorious South Devon. (www.gitcombe.co.uk). We have 8 luxury self catering cottages in the beautiful South Hams. We are only 15 minutes from Dartmouth and Totnes. We often welcome many NappyValley Netters. :)

We have wonderful leisure facilities to suit all the family from our indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room along with an outdoor hot tub with fabulous views of Dartmoor and perfect for star gazing in the evenings. :-) Our outdoor heated pool is great fun too and catches the sun all day. (Open from mid-May to mid-September).
Little ones can enjoy our soft play area and playroom along with our outdoor adventure playground and toy shed. If you're feeling energetic you can have a game of tennis on our championship size tennis court with our complimentary racquets and balls.

We are so lucky to have wonderful places to eat and drink on our door step. The famous Maltsters Arms in Tuckenhay (formally owned from Keith Flloyd) is only a 25 minute amble or 5 minute drive. They offer fantastic seafood with stunning views by Bow Creek. Sharpham Vineyard in Ashprington or the superb Anchorstone Cafe in idyllic Dittisham are both only a 10 minute drive from Gitcombe and are perfect for celebrating a special occasion. Alternatively there are a huge range of restaurants in both Dartmouth and Totnes.

We are so well located for stunning beaches and tourist attractions... I know you would all have a wonderful time here. If you have a specific date in mind, please get in touch: joanne@gitcombe.co.uk as I would love to welome you and your family to Gitcombe to celebrate your special birthday. :)
