Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Christmas Tree Project

Postby MPSBatterseaSgt » Wed Nov 11, 2015 10:26 pm

Dear NappyValleyNetters,

The Commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, has launched the Christmas Tree Project 2015.

In 2014 we had many presents kindly donated by the public helping to provide presents to children who may otherwise not have received one last Christmas. This year we aim to help even more children get a gift this Christmas.

Last year, our Christmas Tree appeal resulted in 6840 gifts being given to children in care across our capital city for Christmas.

This year we're asking for your help again.

To give a gift to a child, you can visit our virtual Christmas Tree here or if you prefer, you can donate money here.

We also have a Christmas Tree here in the front counter at Lavender Hill Police Station, where you can attend and give a gift to a child by following the instructions on the tag.

Thank you very much and Merry Christmas.

Regards,

Nathan

Another epic fail by the Met and the incompetent Bernard Hogan-Howe.

Could we not have a police force that addresses crime, i.e. prevention and detection, rather than one that seemingly will do anything rather than its actual job?

These sort of activities should be carried out by third party charities, not by the Met. The waste of police time is vastly disproportional to the outcomes.
