Sash Windows

Postby Phoenix » Fri Jan 22, 2016 8:57 pm

We are looking at replacing 2 bay windows (3 panels each), plus 4 single sash windows.

We've had a quote from sliding sash solutions. Has anybody on here used them before? Please let us know how you got on.

The quote is c£18k plus VAT. Does that sound right?

Their main selling point seems to be the use of accoya wood. Does anyone know if that is a good thing?

We are looking for a top end Job.

Thanks.

We used Ayrton to replace bay windows and single sash. Very happy with them as a company and the results.

We had windows down over the summer by Mirek of MTM Carpentry.

I would 100% back them. Windows are super high quality, they were a joy to work with and they completed the job on time and left the house in a good shape. Mirek is super approachable and asks for you to visit his workshop to see examples of his standard of work.

His number is 07885 551 724.

We used RG Windows Ltd (http://www.rgwindows.co.uk/) to replace all our windows about five years ago.

They still look great after all those years, and perform well.

RG Windows also manufacture for a lot of other companies, so by going directly to them you can cut out the middle man. Radoslav Kirev, the owner, is very hands on and is normally doing the survey personally.
