We need to get a couple of bedroom ceilings improved (they currently have hideous wood chip paper covering a multitude of cracks and bulges). I've had one quote already from a contact, but my husband thinks its rather expensive, so I would like a couple of others for comparison.
I think in both cases we will need to plasterboard over the existing ceilings, replace the cornices and then skim finish the new ceilings with plaster - so I need more of a general building company rather than just a plasterer. (I have a handyman who can come in and do the repainting after).
Any recommendations would be much appreciated. We're looking to get this done in the next 3 months before our 2nd baby arrives and we have less flexibility to sleep in our spare rooms while the work is being done, or have paint fumes to worry about.
