Hello everyone,
Like many I'm posting to find a loving new family to join. I'm currently working off Northcote Road caring for 3 children aged 7, 5 and 3. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control the family have sadly had to let me go so I'm now on the hunt and available to start in two weeks. I'm ideally looking for a full time role or nanny share.
My name's Lily McConnell, I'm 25 years old and have worked with children since I was 19. I started in a nursery then I went on to be a part-time nanny while also studying Social Policy and Criminology and working in Whistles on Northcote Road. I loved being a nanny and getting close to the children so much I wanted to do it full time so when I finished my studying I left Whistles and became a full time nanny.
I have a genuine love for what children. I've always known I would have a career with children, even since primary school. I couldn't be more grateful for how well children take to me and me to them. I am a very caring and loving nanny while still able to be firm and set and maintain boundaries, I'm often complimented on my patience. Children trust me which helps me maintain rules set by both parents and myself. I can be very silly, rolling around on the floor with children or playing superheros or hairdressers as well as board games and puzzles when we need some chill time. I love imaginative play and love to encourage it as much as I can. I also love to be creative, doing arts and crafts and bring in learning wherever I can. Children are sponges and it's great fun watching them learn, grow and develop. It's the best part of my job. I'm a really hard worker as I love what I do, I love building bonds with children and having fun with them.
I have previously been part of a nanny share, caring for 4 children two days a week. The youngest being 10 months when we started, the eldest two were 5 and the middle one was 3 so I have experience with having my hands full and having a busy demanding day. I've cared for children from 8 months up until 9 years old, encouraging children's development as well as helping with reading and homework.
I lived in Tooting Bec my whole life, I know South London really well and like to think I know most of the playgroups and events on. I'm very confident with my ability to care for children, meet people and try new playgroups or anything new.
I'm first aid trained, CRB checked and have an NVQ in Childcare, Learning and Development.
