Looking for full time live out nanny from May 2016

Postby clapham_common_mum » Sun Apr 17, 2016 4:02 pm

Hi,

Our great nanny is looking to cut down on her hours after nearly 3 years with us so we are looking for a caring and responsible live-out sole charge nanny to look after our three lovely children (girl 5.5 years old, boy 4 years old and boy 21 months) from May 2016. Both my husband and I work full time so the hours will be 7.50am to 6.20pm Monday to Friday.

We are looking for an experienced nanny (at least 5 years’ experience as a sole charge nanny) who is passionate and committed about her career in childcare, and wanting to make a long term commitment to our family. Our ideal nanny will be patient, confident, kind, fun, energetic, organised and creative, with a real interest in developing a strong relationship with each of our children, and supporting us in sharing with them our core values of honesty and respect. Our children are full of life and adore each other; they love music, cooking, messy play, arts & crafts, dancing and outdoor activities. We live close to Clapham Common and the school/all activities will be local.

We have a cleaner who comes weekly, so household tasks will be limited to weekly laundry of children’s clothes and linen, cleaning up after cooking and meals, and ensuring the children’s bedrooms and play areas are kept tidy and clean. Very importantly to us, our ideal nanny will cook healthy, varied and nutritious meals, be passionate about food, and share that passion with our children.

The person we are looking for will be perfectly fluent in English (oral and written); French would be an advantage but is not essential. Our family has a multi-cultural background and we welcome candidates from all cultures.
To be successful in obtaining this role, you would:
- Have a formal qualification in childcare,
- Have a recent DBS check,
- Hold an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate,
- Be OFSTED registered (or willing to be registered),
- Have several checkable references, and
- Be a non-smoker.
Ideally, you would also have a recent food safety and hygiene certificate.

If you would like to apply, please email me (mvja2010@gmail.com) with a CV and stating why you feel this would be the right position for you.
Thanks very much.
