I am looking around for secondary schools for my child and Bolingbroke is one of the six schools I was going to put down on the application until another parent told me not to bother because they are just taking kids from their feeder schools.Should I bother?

You need to double check the council's published stats to see who was admitted in the last 2 years

Hi,
My daughter put my granddaughter name down for this school at first she was told there was no places available because of the feeder schools but she held out and put in an appeal to Wandsworth against the decision and my granddaughter was offered a place.

How far does your daughter live from the school? We are in Earlsfield.The reality is Bolingbroke is closer to us than Graveney or Chestnut Grove and the other 3 closest schools to us are a good 30 min. walk door to door.Unsure what to do...maybe I should put it down anyway!

my granddaughter was offered a place the day before the appeal was to be heard ,at the time their lived at spencer park so don't be put off. Hope all goes well.

We applied for my daughter, she was not offered a place but by half term she was. By that time she had settled at her third choice school and we didn't move her.
She had not been to a feeder school, we live four streets from Bolingbroke Academy between the commons.
So perhaps if you are near the school and willing to wait you could get in?
