IFA recommendations?

Postby supermummy » Tue Jul 26, 2016 7:26 am

We need to see an IFA for a full finance MOT - pensions, tax and investment planning. Any recent recommendations?

Thanks

Hi
There are two firms that I know of, both with contacts who are local Dads.

First off is an almost neighbour of mine, lovely chap and I've seen him independently recommended on here before. I haven't used him but several NVNers have.

Jaips.R@ablestoke.com

then there is Will on

William.Townrow@Vestrawealth.com

Again a local Dad who coaches at Ironsides with a great friend of Mr NVN.

Hope these help and if you do use one of them please do let us know how you get on!

Thanks!

This is not an IFA but a fund that I may have used and/or use but check out Fundsmith Accumulator. That has very a brilliant performance over the last 5 yrs and will almost certainly have beaten anything the IFA suggests. Why not use it as a yardstick even if you are not willing to go there.

Take a look at www.themoneymotco.co.uk before you potentially fork out a lot of money on an IFA. Btw, just because a unit trust, such as Fundsmith, has performed well in the past, it does not follow that it will perform as well in the future.

Hi there,
My husband is an IFA and a Fellow is the CII (the highest level awarded). He has been advising for over 15 years and is classed as an investment and pensions specialist.
I have added his details to Nappy Valley before and users have gone on to take his advice.
Here is his website if you want to take a look; http://www.dbwealth.co.uk and his LinkedIn profile has testimonials you can view.
Best regards
Hayley

Before you do anything, ensure that you fully understand the costs. Depending on what you want to do, you will discover that there is often a lack of transparency when it comes to fees and charges.

I can recommend a really good IFA based just near Clapham Junction. She makes everything seem super simple and takes all the stress out of financial chat and planning. Her name is Catherine and you can get in touch on Catherine.Simmonds@sjpp.co.uk.
