Audi owners - where do you go?

Postby JamTart » Mon Aug 08, 2016 9:29 pm

We own a not-that-old (but not entirely new) Audi and are looking for a local-ish garage for servicing, repairs, MOT, etc. Any ideas?

It does not necessarily have to be an Audi-run garage as we are not fussed about service history. However, as all the car's systems seem to be electronic an alternative garage would need to be able to run the Audi diagnostics and to access the parts.

At the moment it feels as though we are hostage to their servicing centre, which often plumps the bill with a couple of 'essential'/'recommended'/'advised' add-ons at significant cost, while not being entirely charming to deal with.

Is there such a place within striking distance? If not, what should our next car be if we want good service and bills that are not sky high? (a little scope creep from my original question!)

German Car Company in Earlsfield

Really nice people, they have all the right diagnostics stuff and seem to specialise in all those three year old plus cars that people don't want to send to a franchise dealer.

I think they are about 50% cheaper than franchise but don't hold me to that!

:-)

I would also recommend The German Car Company. We used to use the Audi Garage around the corner but much more expensive. The German Car Company are friendly and efficient and much better value.
