Nursery advice near Broomwood Road Post Reply

Hello

I have just moved to the area and I am looking for a nursery to send my nearly 3 year old to - I live off the Broomwood Road and just looking for a few hours a day if possible.

Hello - there are lots of nurseries around the Broomwood Road! My daughter goes to Broomwood Montessori which is in the Methodist Church - she loves it. It is extremely friendly and well organised. If you email them you can usually have a quick tour to see what you think. Hope that helps

Hi, sounds like you are after a nursery school (morning or afternoon sessions).

The ones I know of nearest to you are:

- Broomwood Montessori as mentioned above
- Noah's Ark
- Alphabet
- Butterfly Preschool
- Mouse House/Mouse Hole
- Bennerley House
- Nightingale Montessori
- Sparkies
- Marmalade Owl

All these are "between the commons" except Marmalade Owl which is near Clapham South. They can get very booked up, however all will have some turnover due to movers etc so may have a space. Butterfly and Marmalade Owl are pretty new so likely to have spaces. Search the names on this site and you'll find reviews/opinions - all have decent reputations as far as I'm aware.

I totally second the Broomwood Montessori recommendation. My child has been going there for a year now and it's brilliant and run by the same two amazing ladies who started it years ago so there is no staff turnover issue etc.
My daughter learned so so much there after moving her from a traditional nursery and I can't recommend it highly enough.
