Any recommendations for a wooden floor re-furbisher?

Postby DomesticJailBreaker » Mon Oct 10, 2016 8:42 am

Can anyone recommend someone who can refurbish our wooden floor please? It's currently varnished (and very worn and dirty-looking, despite frequent cleans!) but we want to get it taken back to the bare wood and re-done with hard wax oil instead. Thanks for any recommendations

Hi,

I would recommend Marcin Krupa. he did our wooden floors about 18 months ago and managed to turn them from total disaster to wonderful. He sanded, replaced a number of boards, varnished and filled in between the boards (we had drafty gaps!). He's very efficient and I think for what he does he is incredibly good value.

Hi

We used HS Wood Flooring to sand and refinish our oak floors after building work on the house - They did an excellent job bringing scratched and discoloured floors back to 'as new' condition and with minimal disruption and dust.

Andrew Caustin has sanded and stained floors twice now for us. He is extremely reasonably priced and does an amazing job. I'd highly recommend him. His no is +44 7722 767495. Tell him Alexis Goldfinch passed on his details and he'll look after you!

Hi there, try asking Jussi for a quote too. We've used him a couple of times now and would get him back again when we put wooden floors in the bedrooms.
