Hi

Can anyone recommend a jewellers in the local area where I can get a ring valued and the authenticity of the stones checked?

I used the jewellers on Northcote road next to QT toys, to value jewellery for insurance purposes and they did a thorough job.

I agree with the post above - I got mine done at this spot ( Asquiths ) and was pleased with the results & they store the valuation online too so should you ever lose it you would still be covered for insurance purposes. Flipping expensive tho...about 10% of the value of the ring (bargain if you have an Argos £20 ring I guess...)

Michael Platt, Wimbledon Village is excellent. I have just used him to re-value my engagement ring for insurance purposes, he was so good we ended up another ring from him!
