New business consultation

Hi

One of my friends has an established business in France and has recently obtained a contract to provide the service in the UK. He is not sure whether he needs to open a subsidiary or a rep office in the UK as his business requires a special certificate and currently it's the French company that holds the certificate. Also he will need help with accounting/book keeping and taxes. Are there firms or individuals who can provide some professional help so that he can set up his business in the UK properly?

Any recommendations will be much appreciated. TIA!

There's a lot less red tape in the UK compared to France. Are you sure a similar business in the UK would require this certificate in order to trade here?
