PART TIME NANNY WANTED - 30-40 hrs pw

Postby ru59 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 9:25 am

Tooting based family looking for a nanny for the following hours:

EITHER Two full days (08:30-6:30) and three shorter days (from 11:45)
OR Five shorter days starting at 11:45 - 6:30 (A later start time might be possible)

Ideal hours would be between 30-40 per week although we could manage a few less or possibly a few more for the right candidate. Salary negotiable. Pay and contract would be handled through a nanny agency.

CRB check and good references essential.

We have two gorgeous girls, 3 and 6. Youngest is at nursery 3 mornings a week although we could increase this if needed to 4 or 5 mornings.

Role would require all the normal nanny duties. Candidate would need to be able to use initiative, be a good cook and be loads of fun. We consider ourselves to be very easy going, fair and flexible employers. In return our ideal nanny would be flexible enough to offer emergency cover if required and preferably be able to offer some extra hours via babysitting or during holiday times although this is not essential.

Please note, dad works from home. The nanny will be sole charge and what she says, goes but we realise having a parent at home would not be ideal for everyone so please consider carefully whether it's an environment that would suit you. Dad would take great care not to interfere unless requested and would not undermine the nanny. We know kids need boundaries and we would establish some mutually agreeable ground rules to ensure everyone is happy!

Please get in touch if you have any questions. Thanks. 07753 841303.

I am 32 years old, from a family of 6 and mother of one child. I have been living and working in the UK for more than 6 years.

At the moment I am working three days a week (Wednesday to Friday) and looking for a part time position.

I am kind, loving and patient. I consider children to be a great source of energy and joy. I am hardworking and I am always looking for opportunities to evaluate myself and continually improve. I am organised, self-disciplined and responsible.

I am a trust worthy, reliable, and honest. I am happy to follow direction but also able to work independently and use my initiative and previous experiences to perform my role in at high standards.
I love taking the children out to the park, going for a walk, to the farms, museums, playgroups, and other outdoor games and also indoor activities such as: making puzzles, playing with play dough/clay, reading books, singing, craft/ art (friendship bracelets, painting, making cards) and help the kids with their school projects.

I am a confident cook. I enjoy cooking healthy, nutritious and interesting meals and willing to learn your child's favorite :),
I love involving children in different activities/house chores, using these opportunities to help develop different areas of learning such as team work, responsibilities, improving their motor skills, creativity, help them discover and explore.
I think it is important to draw clear lines of acceptable behavior for children and to apply these consistently to help encourage self-discipline. I realise the importance of routine and implementing one where there is needed. I work hard to maintain a healthy balance of friendship and respect.

As every child is different/unique so are the child's individual needs and for this reason I am always trying to learn more about them, to observe them, to be creative, patience and wise.
I am Ofsted registered, CRB checked and first aid trained. I have also completed a MBA nanny training course. I have experience of working with children of all different ages so I am optimistic and confident in meeting your children's needs.
