New Met Website

Postby MPSBatterseaSgt » Wed Mar 08, 2017 1:42 pm

Dear NappyValleyNetters,

The Met launched their new website yesterday which you can find here. In particular, there has been a significant upgrade to the local Safer Neighbourhoods webpages.

If you enter your postcode or road name into the search engine on the front page, you will find your local team. Here you will see things like the top three crimes for your area (updated monthly), a heatmap of the where those crimes occur, crime prevention advice relevant to those crimes and for some wards, you will see social media updates and events from your local team. For those wards that do not have any social media content yet, you should start to see it in the coming weeks as all 629 ward teams across the Met start to come online.

In the future we will be adding further functions to this website such as:

- A "Voice Your Concern" function - An online poll that allows you to highlight issues of concern.
- A function that allows you to export raw crime data.
- An automated email newsletter.
- Missing person appeals page.
- Identity Sought / Wanted appeals.

You can leave feedback using the online form on the website.

Thank you.

Regards,

Nathan
