Getting rid of baby vomit from Sisal?

Postby NYE31 » Wed Jul 19, 2017 9:43 am

Any tips on how to remove baby vomit (formula) from a Crucial Trading Sisal Floor covering?
My sister's baby was sick all over our rug & we cannot get the white mark out. It's a made to measure rug which covers almost the entire room & the mark cannot be hidden by furniture.

I don't think you can. Sisal's a nightmare. Even water leaves a mark.

Clean as best you can, I've used a brush and water just to gently massage it, then use a cold wet tea bag and dab the mark.

Thank you, a friend suggested painting the white stain with cold tea so I'm trying that. Anything to avoid replacing a £1000 rug which is only 6 months old.

Soda water removed the smell & painting the stain with neat cold tea has faded the stain away so that it's almost impossible to see. Thank you everyone for your suggestions. :)
