Bike lessons

Postby Bunnypigeon1 » Thu Oct 05, 2017 1:48 pm

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good cycling teacher who could show me the ropes about cycling on london streets? I know the council technically provides free lessons but it's a nightmare to actually find a course....
Thanks!

Everyone Bikes on Northcote Road will organise lessons for you. I think that they still do them :?

My daughter and her friend went on a couple and had a great time.

The council will also send someone to your house for a private lesson at a time that is convenient for you. You just have to complete the form they send you. I did it for both my kids.

Hi - not sure if you're still looking for an instructor but I've recent experience of a great guy who taught my youngest (7) to cycle and took my eldest (9) out onto the local roads for his Bikeability 2 certification. He works with local councils Lambeth, Southwark etc and works with both children and adults. PM me if you would like to know more. Good luck with it

We sent our kids to Ed at Pedal Project who was fab. They go for one hour on three consecutive days and most children can ride after that. If they can’t then you put them on the next three day course for free and then definitely can cycle after that! Ed is very calm and has a great technique for teaching them all. He had a mix of ages in the class from 4 to 12 years old.
