We are an English family with 2 kids, a 4 year old daughter in reception, and a 3 year old son in lower nursery.
We are offering £140 per week plus 4 weeks paid holiday, including double room and all food etc. Paid overtime in school holidays needed too. We have a nice house with garden in a great location on West Hill in Wandsworth, SW18. We are only a few minutes walk from Southside shopping centre, with shops, cinema, gyms, restaurants etc. Wandsworth is a very popular area for young families and there are lots of nanny and au pair meet ups and groups if you want to meet others. East Putney tube and Wandsworth Town overground are the closest stations. It is also easy to get to Heathrow and Gatwick from here.
We are looking for someone who is happy, fun, reliable. You should enjoy being organised and tidy, a healthy cook, be fluent in English and a non-smoker. Previous childcare experience in the UK is essential, and being able to handle disciplining, basic homework (learning to read & write) and caring for when sick.
General responsibilities: Getting up / ready for school / dinnertime and bedtime routine; walking younger child to nursery & back (5 mins) and occasional collecting of elder child from school (by bus); preparing healthy meals, toileting and bathing; washing and changing the children’s bedding & towels; keeping bedrooms, kitchen and play areas clean and tidy and arranging playdates and local activities
Also some simple housekeeping responsibilities like placing weekly shopping order online and putting food shopping away when delivered, liaising with cleaners, deliveries, and helping feed our cats.
We have a cleaner twice a week so you will not be expected to do general household cleaning, or washing and ironing the kids clothes.
