What has happened to independent mind body soul Balham?!

Does anyone know what has happened to independent mind body soul on Balham High Road? I have been a customer there for many years but haven't been able to get through on the phone this year. Today I passed by and it looks like it has closed! Does anyone know if this is permanent or if they're moving location? There was no sign on the door, and the website looks like business as usual. Weird!

Very sadly it has closed

The continual and steep rent and rate rises finally did their worst.

Very sad they’ve closed, even more so for the staff who they didn’t pay for a whole month just before Christmas. They didn’t pay their rent either so the landlord has a problem too.

I’m sure there are better ways to close a business than the way they went about it

Hopefully someone will take over the site soon, there’s a market.

The Aveda place down in Streatham is ok by all accounts and I think that’s where some of the staff have gone.

I am really sad to hear this.
One of the few treats I gave myself whilst on Maternity leave was popping little babe in a cot and having a nice pedicure at independent. I recommended the place to all new local moms. I'd never heard of any other beauty salon offering that service.
What a loss!
I hope she re-opens elsewhere.
