Ear Piercing - where to go?

Postby supermaman » Mon Jul 02, 2018 11:19 pm

Can you recommend where to get ears pierced locally (SW11-SW12) or Central London for an adult?

Any thoughts on Claire's or the Tattoo place on Battersea rise specifically - in terms of the experience or for the choice of earrings to wear afterwards?

Thanks

I have seen a few girls over the years getting their ears pierced at Claire's and it always looked very professional etc

But, if you wanted to make it a little more special, Selfridges and Harrods do ear piercing and a few of my daughter's friends had theirs done there.

I think good old studs are the best to go for - easier to clean et in those first few weeks.

Maria Tash at Liberty is popular right now but pricey!

The Circle in Soho is great and Dinny Hall also do ear-piercing events.

I'm told that Maria Tash makes the piercing with a needle rather than the old fashioned and quick gun, so bear that in mind if you are ultra squeamish.

F Hinds jewellers at Clapham Junction, they usually have one of their ear piercers in, but worth phoning in advance to check.
Or Claire's, but both only do lobe piercings. With guns.
Maria Tash well known for v stylish cartilage piercings, but expensive, and you need to book an appointment.
Tattoo parlours for cartilage piercings (and all sorts of other body parts!) with needles.

Went to KD's in Tooting recently. Looks a bit dodgy as it is up some stairs at the back of a phone accessories shop but was nice and clean and a decent choice of studs. They use a gun for earlobes, needles for other parts of the ear. £8 per earlobe.
