I am a nanny with over 11 years experience looking after children included newborns and have completed my maternity nurse training (OCN Maternity Practitioner Award Level 4) at the end of 2015.
For personal reasons I would to transition from a nanny to a maternity nurse and I would like to gain more experience with newborn babies and supporting new parents.
I will be available from September/October for either day or night shifts (possibly 24h on occasion) for a maximum of 5-6 days.
I will offer unpaid support to new parents with the following
- bathing new borns
changing new borns
providing advice/support regarding breastfeeding
supporting parents with implementing a sleep routine (if parents wished to do this)
helping the mother and family
However, I will do not help with older siblings. I just recently updated my paediatric first aid qualification and I have a certificate of good conduct (police check).
This would be unpaid (only expenses to be covered) to gain experience and a reference at the end.
I have previously had a similar arrangement with two parents a few years ago, but worked mainly with older children in the last few years.
