15 years old from Europe- where to go to educate?

Postby marianna82 » Mon May 09, 2011 9:46 pm

Hi,

For family reasons, I am bringing my 15 years old little sister over to England to live from September. In my country (hungary) she is attending to one of the best schools, to a catholic girls school but as education system is different here, I don`t know what to do and where to go as I don`t want to waste her to a dodgy school.
I called Citizens advice bureau but never got through.
Please help someone!

As a starting point I would contact both Lambeth and Wandsworth councils. They will be able to advise on school options. If you are making no progress or need more help then it may be worth contacting your local MP at some stage. Needless to say when you end up with a short list of possible options make sure you actually go and visit each school to see for yourself what you think of them and take your sister as well of course if possible. But the council would be your best starting point I think. Good luck.
