Hi, yet again I write in for more help!

We need a painter very soon and want to get them booked in asap.

There will be a small amount of replastering involved, and the possibility of replacing a ceiling - might need a builder for that piece.

Can anyone recommend a good painter for a reasonable price? We've had a bit of a shock on the window quotes, and our redecoration budget has been correspondingly reduced.

I've just used a great guy called Dimitar - his number is 07889917608. He did 2 rooms and the garden shed and fence - I will have him back to do more later in the year. He is now doing my neighbour's house and may be in the street for while as he is highly recommendable! Neat, tidy and a really great price.
One of my clients used a Hungarian guy called Laslo - his number is 07831928344. He did an amazing job of painting a room with red and white stripes (not easy!) but perfectly done and a great price.

After doing such a great job I decided to have the outside of the house repainted he has done an excellent job no fuss cleared up everyday and completed the job to a high standard. Another vote for Dimitar here

He just finished some external and internal decorating at my house. Initially, we kept the scope of work brief (external window sills, bathroom and hall only) but then we were more than happy for him to decorate all the bedrooms as well. Also, he was happy to help with other bits and bobs that would be too small for someone professional to come and deal with.
Dimitar is a very nice guy, very polite and professional, he offers high quality work at reasonable rates and done on time (hard to come across these days). Just an example: he said he'd be finished in a week, today Friday by 3pm everything was done and the place left clean and tidy. Great guy - thanks again! Would hire him again for anything else needed at my house.

Also, if you check his name in Google (I know, I know, but to be fair - I've been burned before with a builder and failed to check his references), he comes highly recommended on another site as well:

Steven Richardson in Clapham did some work for me recently. He was very efficient, punctual, pleasant, and completed the job to high standard - doing even a bit of extra without charging for it. Price wise he was good value for money. Would recommend - and will use him again.
