Recommendations for built- in wardrobes?

Postby Ettedja » Mon Dec 03, 2018 1:13 pm

Seeking recommendations for a carpenter or local company to partially rebuild some built in wardrobes. The exterior doors are fine and match panelling on the wall, so it’s just the carcasses, shelves and drawers that need replacing but the quotes so far are astronomical. I don’t mind paying more for a job well done but don’t want to over pay as we can’t take them with us and they are obviously not seen most of the time.

Would be grateful for recommendations and especially for any photos to back it up.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure I can help - but just to put it into context I was just quoted £7500 per room for built in wardrobes. High quality I am sure - and including vat and installation but I was still gobsmacked. Not sure I can face ikea though.

Matt Hadfield, Mayhew City Ltd, 07973 690905

He is a quality carpenter who build my child a nice treehouse

there are lots of other outfits on nappy valley. They may do nice work. But they are about 50% more expensive.

I would recommend my Partner, Peter. He is a qualified carpenter with lots of great references.
