Ten days ago the majority of independent London day schools sent out their Eleven Plus offers.
It’s still too early to analyse how these compare to previous years however anecdotally there has been no let-up in demand.
For those of you with very young children this may seem a problem that is many years away. However as our members have been discussing, “early years” catchment area and feeder school decisions (both state and independent) can have long term ramifications on your child’s secondary education.
With this in mind we have commissioned a series of interviews with local heads, again both state and independent, to understand how this pressure is manifesting itself in the primary sector. We’ll publish these as soon as we have them but in the meantime, with news that Emanuel has already closed it’s 2017 entry, we’d certainly suggest looking at all of your options as soon as possible.
