ONE local street pays ONE £Million in Stamp DutyDear NappyValleyNetter,

My daughter, with her entire primary school year group, has just set off on a school trip.

They’re travelling to the Highlands and part of the experience is a night on a mountain, under a shelter that they’ve built themselves.

We hosted a sleepover for her and a couple of friends before they left. Over breakfast my eldest was doing his best to impress them with his Bear Grylls like tales of bush craft and bravery from the same trip the previous year.

“It’s like the Hunger Games out there so choose your team wisely and find shelter quickly”

The girls nodded sagely. He warmed to his theme.

“Every team needs a cook. Without food you won’t survive the night on the mountain.”

The girls nodded again and exchanged murmurs of agreement.

I allowed myself a little burst of pride. My Wandsworth darlings may come across as a bit urban but deep down they loved the outdoors as much as the next child.

“And volunteer for washing up duty whenever it’s offered. Only that team may charge their iPads.”
