Should I betray my niece’s trust? Revealed: how local schools select brightest pupils. Help: noisy neighbours! Late postal deliveries?

Last Updated on : 21st March 2016

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

“I’ve been offered my first modelling gig!”

I wouldn’t expect to hear these words from anyone in my family but if I had to rank them in order of likelihood, Mr NappyValleyNet would be right at the bottom.

After Patches the hamster.

And he’s been dead for two years.

Anyway, it really was my husband who was claiming to be on the fast track to catwalk fame and fortune and it turned out he wasn’t fibbing.

If you’ve seen a copy of our recent Design and Build Guide (click here to be sent a copy) you may have noticed the builder’s, ahem, bottom on page 35. But unlike most of the ones I’ve seen the one in print is much more “Tom Hiddleston: The Night Manager” than “Nick Knowles: DIY SOS”.

And last Thursday the firm in question tweeted at Mr NVN to ask if he’d like to be their next model.

“It’s a win-win situation,” he happily expounded whilst excitedly waving the tweet receiving phone in the air, “I get to be famous and they’ll have to book a massive advert to fit all of me on a page.”

Here is what you’ve been talking about on NappyValleyNet:

how local schools select brightest pupilsSG is in a moral quandary. Her niece has trusted her with some pretty sensitive information and she wonders if she should tell her mother, who is also her own sister? She’s very close to them both and can’t see how to do the right thing (click here).
