The UK’s largest dedicated children’s literature festival will return with a packed public programme of more than 100 author events, performances and free activities on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June. Authors and illustrators include Sir Lenny Henry; Creator of the Gruffalo, Axel Scheffler; million-selling author and illustrator Cressida Cowell; Sir Michael Morpurgo; Charlie and Lola creator, Lauren Child and middle grade marvels Elle McNichol, Emma Carroll, Hannah Gold, Onjali Q Rauf and M.G. There’s lots for non fiction fans too with superstar space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock who will answer the big questions and talk about her new non-fiction book Am I Made of Stardust?  Acclaimed historian and broadcaster Tom Holland (Making History, The Rest is History etc) introduces his blockbuster retelling of the Persian Wars for children.  And little ones are not forgotten either with loads for preschoolers such as an appearances by Laura Henry-Allain MBE, from CBeebies’ JoJo and Gran Gran; Paddington Bear’s First Concert and a show of The Jolly Postman as well as picture book stars Ed Vere, Matty Long and Nicola Davies

To celebrate the return of our favourite children’s literature festival we have a family ticket (up to 5 people) and a bundle of books by authors and illustrators appearing at Barnes.  We would like you to tell us the dates of this year’s festival for your chance to win
