Cartwheel to summer camp, live music and family fun: Your What’s On guide from NappyValleyNet

Last Updated on : 30th July 2015

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

Welcome to your weekly What’s On activity guide from NappyValleyNet!

I spotted a ‘white van man’ eating a Mr Whippy with double flake as he drove past me in the sunshine the other day.  It reminded of a time, way back, when I first heard the music announcing the arrival of the ice cream van in the street and asked what it was.  I was told they play the music to encourage all the little children to come over to buy their favourite.  We waited.  Moments later, a bunch of burly builders came rushing along, licking their lips and asking for two flakes in their Mr Whippy.  Summer’s not just for the children!  So in between ice cream treats for you and them, keep up to speed with what’s going on by checking into our calendar regularly.  Keep posting too with your events, classes, fairs and more by simply following the little green button. Just the one flake for me, please…(click here)

House hunting?  If you’re on the move, a great place to keep your eye out for the perfect pad is on our property pages, which we bring to you with PrimeLocation and four local estate agents.  We have all the usual search criteria plus the quite handy one of school catchment areas, just in case schools might be of interest…(click here)

The St. John’s Hill Festival is on Sunday 13th September when the pavements will be lined with stalls and the bouncy castle will be back for children to while away some uplifting time.  The FishClub will be running their ‘Great Golden Goldfish Gala’, so you place your bets on the best looking fins if you can find the time between sampling a mouthful of this and a taste of that from the vast array of foodie treats on offer. …click here for more details

And the Bellevue Road Summer Fair is on Sunday 20th September with stalls lining the street overlooking Wandsworth Common and a hog roast, a bouncy castle and a stage with live song and dance.  Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without the annual Dog Show, this year with guest judge Nicky Campbell.  Will yours win the dog agility test or maybe you’re tempted to enter the ‘Dog lookalike’ contest!  More silverware for the display cabinet…!?  …click here for more details
