Exploding Kittens is good fun and I highly recommend adding the Imploding Kittens expansion pack. Dodekka is also good (good for mental arithmetic). If your kids are old enough then Codewords is challenging and entertaining and we all love good old fashioned Cluedo.

Dobble or Dobble Kids (depending on how old your children are)
Great game!

UNO is always a classic too

For a recent birthday we got Tenzi, a brilliant dice game and Zingo a bingo game (which is secretly educational!) from http://www.double-flip.com run by a local mum. Can highly recommend!

We are going to Cornwall for half term, and from experience I expect there will be a couple of wet days where we will need entertainment.

Can anyone recommend great family games to slip into the suit case?
