I have to agree with the mayor, it will take a generation to fix this ruthlessness and I do believe we are seeing how years of austerity has by and large mostly affected disadvantaged communities. It sickens me that it has got so bad we are not even shocked any more by these stabbings.

The second suspect in this case has now been charged. Another teenager, only 18 years old. This violence needs to end. Kids killing each other, so sad.

The poor boy has now been named.
 A teenager who died after being stabbed outside a Tube station has been named.Malcolm Mide-Madariola, 17, from Peckham, was attacked in Balham Hill outside Clapham South station, London, at about 16:25 GMT on Friday.
He died in hospital following the stabbing which police said happened after "an altercation between two small groups of young males".
No arrests have been made as part of the murder investigation. Malcolm's next of kin has been informed.
Det Ch Insp John Massey said he "didn't believe" anyone involved had travelled on the Tube.

A 17-year-old boy has been stabbed to death outside a Tube station in south-west London.Police found the injured teenager outside Clapham South station in Balham Hill, Wandsworth, after being called at about 16:35 GMT.The Met Police said the boy was taken to hospital where he died shortly afterwards from his injuries.Officers have cordoned off the road and pavement around the Tube station, which has been closed.There have been no arrests, the Met said.Charity director Robin Pritchard, 47, said he saw the victim lying on the ground in a "pool of blood" as someone gave him CPR."It was strangely calm and quiet. I think everyone was in shock," he added.
