Hi although I haven't been through chemo I have very thin hair and this shampoo has really given me a better overall head of hair. It's not breaking the bank and claims to be natural. It has no chemically smell so I really rate it.
"Naturvital" shampoo! Don't bother with the conditioner.

Hiya - I remember you at diagnosis - glad all is good - I'm a year and a bit post chemo and hair is going towards what it used to be (via a MASSIVE "chemo curl" stage where I had a massive afro over the summer!)

But, I went straight back to using herbal essences and the dry stage only lasted a short time while it was curly, once the curls were cut off, I am left with normal hair so wanted to say don't think your previous hair might not appear once the first growth is cut off!

But, secondly, wanted to say www.notanotherbunchofflowers.com - I used to work with the girl who runs / set it up after her own chemo and maybe some of the products on here might help - I haven't checked through what she has as its mostly for during chemo, but just in case!!

My friend started her own hair and skincare business after intensive treatment for leukaemia, during which she was frustrated by the lack of products for people having chemo. She still has a smallish range if products, but they are really good and all made from organic or natural ingredients.

No I totally get how a woman feels about her hair honest. My mum's biggest dread was losing her hair during chemo, probably worse than the actual treatment itself believe it or not.

Hi Supergirl.

Congratulations for finishing chemo'. Usually your hair goes through different texture phases as your hormones rebalance. Mine went through baby fluff to hedgehog and back again over a period of about 6 months. I imagine there is some difference between male and female though.

I found my scalp quite sensitive for a long time so I started with shampoo specifically for babies. I used Johnson's and it worked for me but it was over 10 years now so there will be something better on the market now.

When my mother-in-law was undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy we were recommended Philip Kingsley's No Colour No Scent range. Both the shampoo and conditioner did seem to be very moisturising without being greasy. I also found his website to be quite good and informative.
