Parsley Song is a source of amusement for me. Although she is despicable I have never doubted people like her exist - I have encountered her type many times and they are always the same, very insecure and pointlessly fearful of the "other" and so use their wealth, race and class against other people to make themselves feel better. I hope she is never banned but I wouldn't let her get to you - she is just embarrassing herself 😄

Oh Parsley Song you’ve outdone yourself with this most recent comment. Is your mention of ‘social housing’ intended as a slur? Are we to believe that social housing tenants are somehow lesser human beings than private renters or owner occupiers? We live in an Edwardian terrace and are lucky enough to own our own home. Some of my neighbours are social housing tenants but I don’t think any less of them for it and don’t consider us in any way superior. Is it me Nappyvalleynet, or is this an example of utterly repellent snobbery? I find this comment disgusting and it has nothing place on this forum. Ugh.

"We could leave the EU and stop sending £350m a week to the EU, which could, ahem, be used in the NHS, for example"

...

Look at what happened to our man

It was a mix of overspending, lies, misinformation and innuendos.

You had the leaders of the Conservatives, Lib-Dems, Greens, SNP actively canvassing for Remain (Corbyn was conspicuous by his silence) and Leave still won.  A bit of overspending didn't swing that vote.

Hi
Thank you to everyone for taking part in this thread.

Please can we keep all discussions friendly and amicable? I don't want to step in to delete comments but will do if I need to - please don't make personal attacks.

Thank you again.

Without wishing to contribute to the Brexit debate (!!), I just wanted to add that I use Guy's fish Box scheme and it is fantastic.  The fish is so fresh and is pretty reasonably priced compared to the local fishmongers.  Guy seems like a nice chap and he has personally delivered fish when it has been delayed. Sorry, don't like to see people and businesses run down on the internet (whatever their view on brexit!!!).

"the parsley song" ,you always come across as a very angry person but your replies above makes you look completely unhinged and quite frankly a bully!
I am flabbergasted by this comment especially "who lives in a social housing flat in Earlsfield ".Is it important to you where someone lives? is it a problem that it is or was "social housing"? Is it not up to your standard? It is obvious that you don't like him and you don't agree with his point of view but there is no need for this kind of behaviour!
Guy,don't you feel weird that this person that dislike you so strongly knows where you live?

I can help with that. GuyD73 is Guy Dorrell who lives in a social housing flat in Earlsfield near wandsworth common and he has been subjecting nvn to his crap for 2 years. He ran (or runs if it is still going) a pricey fish box scheme. But must be the only person in the UK fishing trade that thinks the Uk has a good fishing deal. If you bring that up he gets very angry and threatening. He is the ultimate "virtue signaller" with photos of his young daughters looking sad with "we love the EU" posters.

He "asks" what do people think, but if he doesn't like your answer he will attack you. Classic bully, because he only wants his own views mirrored.

There was another guy on here called Papinian and I think they are they same man. Same MO.

Who on earth is this GuyD73 person?  I'm a Remoaner who really hopes that there is a second referendum which reverses the vote to leave (and a second referendum would be the only legitimate way to do it) but with intemperate allies like him, who needs enemies?

And although I think Vote Leave and BeLeave did a lot wrong and did lie, I don't think it invalidates the referendum, and think the law should simply be allowed to take its course.

Thanks to all those who made sensible comments on this post. It’s always a pleasure to see leavers allergic to facts being schooled by those with the ability to support their views with evidence. It would also seem our community very much believes a further vote is the only way out of this, an opinion reflected across the country in the latest polls. Oh dear Parsley Song, not again. No I haven’t ever been banned, as admin could confirm, but good attempt at disinformation there. You also carry on bleating that this isn’t the forum for this subject when the consensus reached by the community (and admin), has repeatedly been that it’s something people care deeply about and that absolutely IS appropriate for this forum, so please just SHHH, the repetition is boring. Also I have never sent you a threatening personal message, so that’s just an absolute lie. Neither have I been abusive, I joking suggested you might like to live with your mates Farage and Franzen (now thankfully jailed) and you somehow turned that into me ‘accusing you on membership of a far right group’, which I didn’t. So lie, lie and lie again seems to be your modus operandi. Please desist from peddling your poisonous falsehoods on my posts, or it’s you that might find yourself with a ban I suspect. Anyway, interestingly, you appear to have borrowed that MO from the Vote Leave campaign and we’ve now found out about even more vile behaviour in the EU ref with their dark Facebook ads designed to play on xenophobia and racism and stuffed full of lies like Turkey joining the EU. There are no words for how disgusting this is. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44966969  Oh and the latest one is that they failed to observe the break in campaigning after Jo Cox’s murder. There were seemingly no depths to which this abhorrent group of people were prepared to stoop. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... vote-leaveI expect this is all fine though if you are missing a moral compass, hey PS? Anyway, you won’t shut me or anyone else who wishes to express their opinion or ask questions on this forum about Brexit, so I’d give up if I were you.

You are still at it Guy Dorrell (has the ban lapsed)? Ok, so you've asked what I think? I think you should stop posting such divisive and loaded posts. There are plenty of other more subject-driven places on the internet to shout your opinions. Plus you only ever want to hear from people who agree with you or you subject them to abuse and threatening personal messages.

Whatever arguments are being thrown back and forth, the harsh reality is Barnier yesterday has dismissed the Chequers Plan, so where are we now. The EU in the past two weeks have signed their biggest trade deal ever with Japan, Canada last month and are now speaking warmly with the US because Trump realises they are not be to pushed around.
Whatever TM ends up promising/agreeing was not what was proposed two years ago, she is trying to square the circle that is Brexit. Therefore whether someone voted leave or remain, a vote on the final deal is the only way to sort it out because you can be sure Parliament are never going to agree going from all the toys being thrown out of various prams over there. There are two large petitions going around so please add your names if you agree. One is the People's Vote and another by The Independent.

The Remain camp might have exaggerated the speed of the economic downturn, but it is still coming true and it will get worse. The Leave camp told outright lies with a view to fanning the flames of prejudice and broke the law. That to me needs accountability.

Another referendum is the only logical option. Especially now in light of the latest developments/findings.
