I’m a local mum and piano player. If your son is more interested in learning through the pop/ jazz route I might be able to help. Especially if he’s got the fundamentals already in place. Hi everyone, can anyone recommend a piano teacher who would come to teach at your home or is local to SW4/SW11/SW8 and who is fun and not overly traditional in their teaching methods?

My son (10 years) is keen to learn but we only have space for a keyboard and he is mostly interested in learning how to play his favourite songs or jam. He's had lessons through his school for 4 years but fallen out of love with the pieces he has to learn (he's been working through a standard book) and finds the concept of teaching /learning to achieve a particular Grade level boring. Just trying to find another teacher who is fun and inspirational before he gives up totally. Would also consider music students if they are interested in teaching on the side.
