THE most important thing is to find out what it is worth so you know what you can sell it for without getting ripped off not what you think it is worth! Go to a pawn brokers NOT for a valuation which will cost you money and will be way above its real sales value. But to ask them how much they will lone you against the ring.As if you don't come back they will charge you extra interest and eventually sell the ring and give you the balance after expenses.
You would get one third of its sales value against it max.so its real value for an easy sale by them is twice what they offer you. Now you know what it is worth you can ask them if they would like to buy the ring rather than pawn it.If they offer you less than twice the amount offered to pawn or thereabouts it is up to you to decide if you want to take the offer or not. Do not settle for less and just say you will think about it and leave.
Take a friend with you that is mentally strong and knows about these things.
