Re: Pregnancy massage

I would highly recommend Dina at Northcote Chiropractic - they are a chiropractor's practice on Webbs Road (have been amazing during my pregnancy) and have a massage room upstairs. Dina is the only masseuse I have seen who has done anything other then lightly stroke, which I find is a waste of money each time!

The qualifications of the masseur are very important. He must do the massage very carefully and safely. Massage for pregnant women is different from other types of massage. But it is very useful. For example, if you do a foot massage, it is very relaxing and reduces swelling.

No one denies that massage is one of the most common ways to relieve pain. But for pregnant women, massage has certain contraindications. My pregnancy was very difficult. I had lower back pain and pain in my legs, and I was constantly tired. I decided to try massage, but I didn't expect it to be a big mistake. After a while, I started to feel terribly nauseous. I felt so bad that I didn't want anything. I was scared for my baby and started looking for information on the Internet. I was very happy when I read the information on https://www.massage-gun-guide.com/feeling-sick-after-massage/. Girls, before you decide to get a massage, be sure to consult your doctor!

Hi Jo,

I hope you’re well. I had pregnancy massages from you back in 2018 with my daughter and they were amazing. I was wondering if you are still doing house visits for pregnancy massages? Please could you send me your details and prices.

Many thanks,

Sree.

 Hello,

Yes it is safe for the baby.  The areas that are greatly helped are the back, neck, hips, swollen legs, ankles, feet and hands.  Many expectant mothers find it is an extremely relaxing treatment which helps with all the aches and pains.  Relaxing and  Soothing for them to receive which is of course is beneficial to the baby.  I only treat after the first trimester and  I have seen many people who have been recommended by a midwife to receive a treatment.

Please DM me for any further queries I can help you with

many thanks
Jo

 Hello

I have worked at Neal's Yard Remedies doing pregnancy massage and reflexology. As it is sadly closing down I would like to offer my services in the comfort of your own home. Pregnancy massage is a wonderfully relaxing  treatment for mother and baby,  it is so helpful in  relieving the muscles in back especially the lower back the hips and the legs. With years of experience,  I have helped plenty of mums to be, in the latter stages of pregnancy. Especially with relief from tightness sore limbs and lumbar pain.  Please do contact me and we can discuss a time to treat you with all the covid safety requirements in place.

Look forward to hearing from you.  Please email me  directly on this post
