Hi, we are looking for a creative, intelligent awesome nanny.

My husband and I have four children, aged 1, 8, 9 and 10 - all boys. The older three are creative, intelligent and relatively self-sufficient. They are well behaved and are very helpful - they help out with the baby a great deal and know to help clear the table etc. The baby has just started walking, is used to having a nanny and has a great routine. He's a happy, outgoing boy.

My husband works full time and I currently work half a day on Wed and all day on Thurs and Fri. I am, however, about to accept a full time job which will mean I am out of the house from 8am - 7pm most days.

We are both warm, loving and creative people and like our nanny to become a member of our family and friends. We are still close friends with our previous nannies who only stopped working with us to move into different careers or because our or their circumstances changed.

I would say that the only down side is that we have just moved into a house which needs lots of renovation work. It's absolutely fine to live in (and we all are!) but not luxurious. The upside though is that we have a massive garden and our house faces a common so lots of lovely green space to play in.
We are looking for a nanny who can get stuck in and be part of our lives. You need to be fun, creative, capable and intelligent. It would be preferable (but not essential) if you are able to drive so you can use our car to collect the older boys from school / play dates. You need to be unfazed by our house not currently looking like it's from the pages of a home style magazine and see the potential in what it's going to be.

You must have experience looking after babies and be keen to take the baby to playgroups and help him develop friendships. It's very much a 2 pronged job as you have the baby all day and then from 3 pick the boys up from school and get stuck into their after school life of homework / instrument practice / cooking dinner etc.

If you're a clean freak it probably won't work as we have FOUR BOYS so whilst we keep on top of the mess, there's always going to be an element of organised chaos, in the best possible way. We love to have family parties / gatherings etc and it's far more important to us that our home is loving, warm and safe than immaculate. That said, we would still love you to be on top of the children's washing / room tidying (helping them to do it) and help us to keep the chaos to a minimum!

I have to say, I love doing it, and I want to find someone who loves it as much as I do and really enjoys being there for our children when we aren't and helping our lives to run smoothly and happily.

(we are happy for you to live in or out as you prefer)

Please drop me an email helenswan77@gmail.com if you’d like to know more. Helen xx
