I've been reading posts on NappyValleyNet about this man for years - it's very disappointing if he's still conning people and I feel for his victims.  

Might it be worth a group of you contacting one of the consumer programmes on TV and radio?  I suspect Greg is not the only builder in the country doing this sort of thing, sadly, and the programme-makers might well be interested in investigating and exposing him as an example....

In answer to previous posts, I am not shocked this criminal is still continuing to scam people. He did the same to a few of us a years back and I tried to take out court orders against him without success. Most people give up because it’s too much trouble.
This guy and his wife should be stopped and locked up for a very very long time. He is destroying everyone’s lives and a case should be conducted to bring him to justice.
If we can get a group together and contact the Police it will be the best money I have ever spent!!

None of us can act alone, because they say it is civil case and he just keeps doing it, if we call get together, and all the people that didnt even leave a review which he has stolen from, and i am sure we will have over 30 people, it will then not be civil and a criminal investigation.
I am willing to give £1,000 towards a professional investigator going through this, if we all put the money together and pay someone to investigate and then take it to the police they will have no choice to arrest him as this is a common thing that is happening over and over again.

Sounds like this guy is a criminal.
I feel for everyone he has swindled.
He could easily set up a company in his wife or someone else’s name and you would not know it was Greg. Might pay to check his drivers license before you do any business with someone remotely seeming like him.
Always get a JCT and only pay for work actually done, in stages. Maybe a £5/10k mobilisation payment is ok in some instances but these guys should all have trade accounts and have cash to hand if they’re running a decent business.

He is a very good liar and very convincing.

He doesn’t like contracts but I insisted on one. I drew one up, splitting up all the phases of the project and the agreed price. He signed it and then told me in order to complete this phase I need this amount of money now. I naively believed him and gave him the money but I came to find out he never ordered the material or organised the people to do the job. When I pressured him to start working, he ordered the wrong size beam obviously because it was cheaper. In a nutshell, he says he needs money in advance to buy the material to complete the work but never actually orders anything or does the work.

He stole £35,000 from me. He is disgusting.

I found out where he lived and went to Streatham and knocked on his door to have a civilised conversation about him giving my money back. He was trying to hide his wife and son. When I finally got to talk to him he told me he didn’t have any money and that he would give me 1 penny a day.

After that day, I started doing some investigations for myself and found a trail of people he has scammed. It is sad to see that has not learnt his lesson. I want to make sure Greg Mazur never has another client.

I hope karma catches up with him.

Thank you so much anothernormalperson for this info.  Let's keep it up and follow him wherever he goes.  He also has two mutual companies.  Alphington Ventures Ltd and Steppingley Elite Ltd.  Does anyone know what this means please?

Just as an update, Greg is now a director of a company called A Box Studio Ltd.  This company number is 12185447.

The company is trading as aboxstudio . co. uk (copy and paste link and remove spaces) and has just added Greg Mazur (AKA Greg the Builder) to their board of directors a few weeks ago (end of July). 

The trading address has over 40,000 companies registered as trading from it.

It is a well known activity to give your business some decent exposure.  Anyone can buy a London trading address from here:

However his other companies have been dissolved according to companies house and he has just setup a new company this year!

Please be careful and do ALOT of research.  Please know that there is risk attached to this decision.  I will post all updates as to his movements as a director and builder.

Hi all - I just wanted to update on my previous comment about another builder in the local area called Greg that I was checking out. I wanted to be very cautious obviously in case it was Greg Mazur.

He is NOT the same dodgy builder, he is a different guy. We received multiple references for him that prove that.

Does anybody know if this is the same guy? He seems very charming and knowledgeable but I am obviously tentative having read this thread in case he is the same person.

I am so sorry to hear this . This guy sounds dreadful . I have a great builder . He is v expensive but I find you get what you pay for . If anyone wants more info let me know . But he isn’t cheap . His work is impeccable and his workers really pleasant . I’ve renovated 3 houses and this was by far the easiest

The police need to investigate this man. This is appalling, he's stolen so much!
