Police descend on Wandsworth Common last (Saturday) night

Great news, as we can all see, there are lots of police officers now in Wandsworth.

So, WHY don't we ever see them on the streets, a presence to help cut the recent crime sprees of stolen bikes, cars and knife crimes ?

I was told they were checking if people were socially distancing which seems strange because for most of the days it’s a seething pit but the day they finally show up it looked fairly empty .

I was on the Common on Wednesday and saw some teenage girls directing NHS ambulance responders to a group (presumably the one that they were with). Not sure what had gone on but one girl looked very worse for worse. Drink I'm guessing??
Don't want to be judgemental as it must very hard to be locked up as a teen but I did feel that it was one call the NHS could have done without just now.

Not surprised if there is to be any enforcement of social distancing. Clapham Common has been the same all this week, that is unless, there are some very strange domestic arrangements that I was previously unaware of!
