Thanks for your helpful replies. We are looking at properties this week near to EP so hopefully one of them will be suitable. I found the website that does the straight line distance - super useful.

Hi. You are correct, the catchment areas are tiny for both so you need to live as close as possible or risk getting your second or third choice. Like pp said, we have wonderful options here, so I'm sure you'd be happy with any of the local choices. There is a link (that I can't seem to copy and paste here for you) that shows the furthest distance a place was allocated. Eg. You'd need to live within 444m radius of Earlsfield P to get in this year. Google 'Wandsworth school admissions distance'. It was second result for me.

My children are at Earlsfield

Hi Katie,

I also moved from Pimlico a number of years ago and love living in the area. You are spoilt for choice for schools, our children go to Swaffield Primary School and couldn’t be happier. I would be very happy to have a chat if helpful.

Earlsfield Primary Schools

Hello All,
This is my first time posting here so please let me know if I’ve put this in the wrong place!
We have just sold our apartment in Pimlico and are looking to move to Earlsfield with our baby, who is currently 7 months old. We are very new to the business of primary schools and catchment areas, which seems like a bit of a minefield!
From what I have read here, both Earlsfield Primary and Beatrix Potter schools seem to be highly recommended. But the catchment areas seem quite tight. Would you recommend trying to buy a property as close to one of these schools as possible, in order to maximise being offered a place? I realise this is a difficult question to answer as it depends on the intake for the year, but any general advice would be very much appreciated. We are really excited about moving to the area, but feeling a bit overwhelmed!
Thank you.
Katie
