@mummyhawkins
Hi, I’m new on here and wondering if there’s a way to contact you via PM? Would love to ask a few questions about Pascale if OK for you. Thanks so much and hope you see it as post is quite old!

Hello, good morning
We used Pascale Mather who was super helpful and we didn’t have to wait too long.

Also, happy to talk through as my son had a recent diagnosis in November 2020 and has both ASD/ADD. Very challenging behaviour here too.
Best wishes

Friends of mine who have had these reports have said they haven't been very helpful and are so expensive - is the only reason people have these reports to get extra time in exams ? If so, there must be a better way to achieve that end result ?

we are in the same position, our 5Y old has just been referred by our GP before Christmas for a neurological assessment.
how long do you all think the process will take through the NHS/CAMHS please?
I am concerned about over-diagnosis if going down for the private option, also it seems the private practices are generally more specialised so will run narrower assessments and might miss something.
hoping to hear from others on this.
thanks

I couldn’t recommend Dr Eleni Paliokosta at the Effra Clinic enough. Came across her through a recommendation on this website, and have since recommended her to friends who have used her and are equally grateful to her. She specialises in ASD and ADHD. Good luck.

I can recommend Dr Le Page, she has a Clinic at MyHealthcare in Battersea and Fulham. She was great to listen to our concerns and recently diagnosed our child and has been amazing.

We recently used Dr Moghraby at the Giaroli centre and have so far found him to be good. Pm me if you want to chat. My son just diagnosed and is of a similar age.

I recommend seeing CF Psycology in Harley Street. Do ask about a reduced rate too. Good luck x

It’s been a few years since we had my son assessed, but we used https://www.lanc.org.uk/ for diagnosis of ADD and I know they do a wide range of assessments so might be worth considering.

Good luck

I’ve been waiting 7months for an assessment for my 5 year old son too and would be very interested in an answer about private options too.

Private ASD/ADHD assessments

Hello, just looking for recommendations from anyone who has sought a private assessment for a child with ? ASD/ADHD. We are currently on a waiting list but within Lambeth so it’s going to be a long wait. His behaviour is pretty poor at times and impacting hugely, both at home and at school. Money is tight but I thought I might just have to do some extra overtime at work (I’m a nurse so there’s plenty going atm). Any advice would be hugely appreciated, he is 8 years old and has an EHCP.
