We always use British Airport Transfers to Heathrow. They have always arrived with the correct child seat as requested and on time.

I've used Simply Airports in the past, but recently the quality has varied. Some cars are really clean and the driver drives safe and sound. Others it was like a rollercoaster ride.

There's always Uber, which is not bad.

My favourite is Wheely. They do higher end cars (think BMWs and Mercedes) and every time I've used them I've been impressed by the clean cars, courteous drivers, and safe driving.

Also they do fixed price to the airports, that can be prebooked in advance. From Clapham to Heathrow is only £40, which is a bargain for the quality of car and ride.

PM me if you're looking to sign up as a new Wheely customer - I believe if I refer you, you can get some money off your first ride.

Bumping this post as I am also looking for a reliable taxi company with (clean) car seats for an airport transfer.

Thanks

By 'clean seat', do you mean you want the cab firm to provide a seat for your baby?
Because there is no way on earth you should be expecting or trusting them to do that! You need to get your own seat!

If you mean clean upholstery and a non-stinky car, it has to be Addison Lee every time
Their drivers are always super helpful as well so I'm sure they would help you fit your own car seat properly in the car, and as they only use (new) Ford Galaxys, it should be easy to fit with a seatbelt or Isofix

Recommendations needed for good taxi firms with car seats

Hi all,

I've recently used two car firms local to Wandsworth common and been pretty upset by how terrible they are with helping you in the car with your pram and the car seats are filthy. They then drove too fast. One had such all over the car seat straps!

Can anyone recommend a firm who will arrive with a clean car seat for a newborn and also help fold down the pram etc. Should be standard but appears it's beyond the two firms I've used.

Big thankyou! It's mainly for short journeys from Wandsworth common to St George's hospital in tooting.

All advice really welcome!
