Although my kids are both older, my eldest did breakfast and after school care while at Swaffield and my youngest is in after school care now. She really enjoys as the activities and has nothing but positive feedback about the staff. Really happy to recommend the out of hours provision, and the school!

My two have used the breakfast club and afterschool care. It is hosted at Swaffield so the Allfarthing children are brought to Swaffield. My two (aged 4 and 7) love it. My youngest has been attending since he was 3 as he was at Swaffield Nursery FT from then. As the previous poster said they split the age groups so my two are only with the lower school years. It’s so convenient as they will pick them up from any after school clubs (at least they definitely do for the Swaffield kids) so they don’t miss out on any extra curricular activities. They also feed them breakfast (obviously;-) and also dinner which not all Clubs do apparently. Food is good, they have a selection of cereals, brioche, toast, fruit and yoghurt in the mornings and dinner changes each day (examples are jacket potatoes and beans, fish fingers etc - stuff I would give my kids for tea knowling they’ve had a proper meal at lunch). And the team have been lovely, my two always talk about them and usually come home grubby from all the activities - lots of art and playing outside. For me, it’s a great facility and excellent value for money.

My children used the breakfast club at Swaffield while in reception, they were also just turned four at the time.

They split the kids into two groups so the older ones are in a different room to the younger ones.  Mine were both happy there.  We never used the after school care but it is the same team (and very often the same kids).  You can make an appointment to have a look at the space - it has plenty of toys and they do various activities from time to time - it is a relaxed environment.

Wrap around care - Swaffield/Allfarthing at Reception age

Hello there
I am in process of applying for a place in Reception for my little boy - starting September 2019. We are in the Catchment for both Allfarthing and Swaffield. I love Swaffield and have visited recently and I am due to visit Allfarthing on Thursday. I am slightly concerned about leaving my little boy early at 7:30am and collecting at 5:30pm every day as he will only be four. We are looking into Kuro kids and various other options, but I wondered if anyone had any insight into what is offered at these schools in terms of wrap around care and if a little four year old would manage ok? He is already at Nursery FT but with children of similar age so he is well catered for. Any advice, information greatly appreciated! Many thanks. :)
