Re: after effects of PND

Thank you Claire, unfortunately I live in Kent now, but still enjoy looking at this site. I'm getting much better, I think this is just the last bit of the jigaw. I've been having CBt and my counsellor thinks it's the worry of the PND returning that's making me feel anxious, and so I'm trying to for...

after effects of PND

HI everyone, I suffered with PND 3 years ago after the birth of my daughter. I got better and got on with enjoying life. Then just after Christmas this year I had another episode of depression. It was triggered by a really difficult few days with my daughter which reminded me how I felt when I had P...

Re: Cheap 2-bed flat for rent

Hi, I'm afraid it's impossible to tell - at the moment we haven't had an offer, but once we do it generally takes about three months until completion. So I would say it would be at least three months, but maybe more.
Thanks

Re: Cheap 2-bed flat for rent

Hi Lucy-lou, The flat is available now, as we've already moved out. We would charge £500 a month inc bills, as like I said it's unfurnished, and as it's on the market there will probably be some viewings at the weekends. Until we get an offer there is no time limit, but I guess once we've accepted a...

Cheap 2-bed flat for rent

Hi ladies, we recently put our 2-bed flat near Clapham Common up for sale and moved to Kent, but the sale has recently fallen through. It's now back on market and empty, so I'm looking for someone who might like to rent it short-term. We won't be charging anywhere near the going rate because it's on...

Re: Move to Tunbridge Wells - know anyone who has done it?

Hi, I made the same move a month ago! We live just near the Pantiles, so very near the village area and just a short walk from the station. I felt the same as you - very nervous to leave London - we were in Clapham and loved it! But we didn't want to go through the nightmare of finding a school in L...

my 3-year-old suddenly can't sleep on her own

Hi ladies, we've recently moved into a new house, and for the first couple of weeks my little one (nealry 3) was sleeping fine. But I think now she's realised this isn't a holiday home and she's not going back to our old home. Suddenly she refuses to sleep unless me or my husband sits by her bed unt...

Re: new live-in nanny- help!

Oh no, I really sympathise with you! I'm a wuss too - and when she phoned to say she was leaving all I could say was, 'OK, don't worry,' even though she'd let us down royally. It's such a hard one. The last thing I wanted to do was upset her, or for her to feel lonely, but equally we all need our sp...

Re: new live-in nanny- help!

Hi, we would never say that to her - and I did say she was welcome to come and sit with us if she wanted to - but I was sure she'd prefer her own time. She has her own bedroom, bathroom and a TV with Sky. I even organised a nanny meet up with some other local nannies by contacting the manager of a n...

Re: new live-in nanny- help!

Thanks everyone, I decided to have the chat when I got home from work tonight. I just said that I was sure she wanted her own space, and that we didn't expect her to want to spend the evenings with us every night. I also suggested that we cook dinner once a week and all spend the evening together. I...

Re: new live-in nanny- help!

Thanks so much, the only problem is that we've just moved to Tunbridge Wells in Kent - where there probably aren't so many nannies. I don't mean to sound rude, and I really want her to be happy - but I just wondered if she'd be relieved if I had the conversation sooner rather than later. it's a very...
