Re: Local activities for the active elderly?

I’m a mum living in Balham and have recently started work on an initiative to connect older people in the area with their neighbours (of all ages) for skill sharing and general companionship. I would love to chat to your dad to see if he would like to get involved and meet some people living nearby....

Re: Have you lost a key and alarm fob?

I lost a door key, bike lock key and fob before Christmas! They are on a Purple Heart shaped keyring - could it be the one you found?! 🤞🏼

Electric car charging point fitter recommendations

Having decided to switch to an electric car, I need to get a charging point fitted outside our house. I know there is a grant available towards the cost and have found several companies online offering the service. Has anyone had a particularly good experience with a company that they would recommend?

Re: Petition to inprove road safety outside Chestnut Grove School...

Yes, Nightingale councillors have organised a Community Speedwatch with PC Howe (who is in charge of Speedwatch across the borough) for Wednesday 28 March 3-4.30pm. We have to compete for dates - but Nightingale does pretty well on getting in first for many dates. We are on the case with finding ou...

Re: What is your FAVOURITE independent cafe in NappyValley? Let us know and we will visit the top 5 as suggested by you!

Brother Marcus, Brother Marcus, Brother Marcus! Can't believe nobody's mentioned it yet though I'm happy to keep it secret (weekend crowds would suggest the young hipster set has discovered it though). Great coffee, the best loose-leaf tea, delicious food, lovely owners and staff and a secret sun tr...

Re: Anyone use Abel & Cole?

I also have been using Riverford for the last few years and cannot fault their quality and reliability. It takes a while to get the right order for your family/lifestyle but once you get in to the routine you will hopefully find it quite liberating not having to dash to the supermarket for fresh veg...

Re: car valeting

Dan at Auto Carbon Detailing will come to you and work miracles! He really does leave the car like new - even after 2 weeks at the seaside with 3 kids eating in the back constantly. Not cheap - we pay around £50 for our family car when it's really bad - but so worth it.

Re: Beginners tennis class? Anyone?

I am very keen! Only problem is my limited availability - Monday & Friday mornings are the only possibilities for me. If that works for anyone else please let me know. I'm happy to go to any of the venues mentioned so far. Also wondered about Wandsworth Common - will look in to the options there.
