Re: Good v not so good iron tablet brands?

Try spa tone which come in liquid sachets. You can add it to orange juice and that increases the potency of the iron intake. You should notice a difference within a few days if not sooner.

Re: Can anyone recommend an honest and skilled orthodontist in London for adult treatment?

I used Dental Rooms in Wimbledon Village to fix an overbite. Angela was my orthodontist and completely made me at ease and after 15 months totally fixed the issue and gave me a smile I was truly happy with. This was in my late 30’s and I now go for a once a year check up of the fixed retainer behind...

Re: Sofa recommendations

If you haven’t decided yet, I would recommend E A Wates for sofas, armchairs etc. They have a huge showroom and parking at the back. They are based in the Furzedown area between Tooting Bec and Streatham.

Re: Rum & Raisin Chocolate - Yum or Yuk??? - A Willie Wonker Appeal for Opinions!

Try again but burn the alcohol off first before adding to the raisins. You shouldn't pass out after a few chunks. This has inspired me to make some from a bit of Antiguan rum I still have left over. Rum and raisin is my favourite ice cream flavour but £5.50 for a bar of chocolate wouldn't make me buy.

Re: wanted: ideas for exercise classes

Have you thought about HIIT - high intensity interval training? I've downloaded the 7 minute workout app which I try and do at least 4 times a week. No matter what my excuses to avoid exercise (and I can come up with plenty) I can find 7 minutes most days for an intense workout and generally do it i...

Re: Recommended Locksmith required

I've used Saxon locks recently when a key broke in a lock. I found they were responsive, did a great job and were reasonable. They are based in Tooting near Amen Corner.

Re: 1st world problem Advice please.

Totally in agreement with Reb. My MIL wanted my husband to give me an engagement ring which she inherited from her aunt. The ring was given to her as an engagement ring by her fiance who went off to war and didn't come back so she never married. I didn't particularly like the ring and when I asked i...

Re: washer dryer that actually dries?

I think a decent washing machine and dryer combi is as rare as a unicorn. In our household when we come back with loads of washing from holidays, we actually take the suitcase to the local laundrette and get a service wash done. They can normally do it in a day and you pick up clean dry washing that...

Re: East End Eton: depressing or encouraging?

Wheresmyschool? wrote:Why can't the government with tax payers money do this?
Because its a truth that in the UK if the electorate have to vote for lower taxes or more public spending than the electorate will vote for lower taxes.

The rest is about who looks better as a PM

Re: Anyone thinking pre-school/reception at Allfarthing in S

Guy, now knowing your road and the fact your child goes to a particular nursery I could start following you and your child. I could contact you to say lets meet up and befriend you. Or I could just go up to you and your child in a playground and tell you I know your child from kids unlimited and my ...

Re: Anyone thinking pre-school/reception at Allfarthing in S

Hello Guy, On a completely unrelated topic; are you sure you wanted to post that much personal information on a public facing website? You have basically published, what your child looks like, the nursery they go to, where you live and other identifiers that anyone with less than decent intentions c...

Re: Help packable pressie suggestions needed!

Do you know when they get back? How about some tickets to a panto or show with a Christmas theme for the whole family that gives them something to look forward to when they get back? You can put the tickets in a card for them which would be very easy to pack.
