Lawn and planting recommendation

Could anyone recommend a landscape gardening team that they have used that would be happy to do a  smaller job. I would like some advice on whether I should put down turf or artificial lawn and then whichever we decide will need to be put down and also some planting. Its not a very big job but too b...

Re: Further Restrictions for Traffic on Wandsworth Bridge / Wandsworth Bridge Road - A Nightmare for Wandsworth Resident

I feel your pain Denwand. An exemption possibly? If you have medical proof or if they have a disabled badge that they use in your car? Not sure how these things work but I am sure that you won't be the only one in a situation like this.

Re: Would you want to know if your partner had an affair?

Not sure why you think it is your place to tell his partner.

If I have read your post correctly, you didn't know when you pursued him that he had a partner but even when you did know you carried on helping him to wreck his relationship.

Walk away and keep silent.

Re: how many arguments is too many?

I would say t depends what sort of arguments they are. We have gone through phases of having lots of mini disagreements, usually based on logistics for children and balancing work commitments. If they are these sorts of arguments i would say a few a week is ok, if they are bigger arguments that aren...

Re: how do i clean one of those large irons when it beeps?

thanks for all of your replies. I think it is something to do with the limescale. I did actually google and found a very helpful youtube video. It seems that we are missing a tray that we need to leave the iron on to whilst it expels the limescale so I have now purchased one of those from a spare pa...

Hi we have finally bought one of those larger irons with the base filled with water. It is constantly beeping but I have thrown the instructions out. I am assuming it needs cleaning but not sure how to do it without ruining it. Could anyone tell me what is best to do?

pre pandemic there was a club that ran on Wimbledon Common on the lake there. Sorry I can't remember the exact name but we used it many moons ago and it was great.

Re: Can I pay my nanny in cash

Sorry, but no, this isn't ok? I think that if you can afford to have a nanny then you can afford to do right by her and pay her NI etc.

Re: An appeal for empathy

I am so sorry that you had to witness this poor behaviour. Know that there will be many children out there who will empathise and more importantly children who have parents who will encourage them to behave better. I am embarrassed as a mother that these boys were not pulled up for their cruelty. Se...

Re: Has anyone had to tell their husband that they smell?!

Blenkarne, I had to tell a female colleague who was also a friend that her personal hygiene wasn't fabulous. I spent ages trying to think of the best way to frame it and remember questioning if she changed deodorant but mostly just came straight out with it. It was never discussed again and all was ...

Re: Clap for Carers returns this week and will include 'heroes'

Couldn't agree more Familycompleted. Not that I don't think the whole Clap for Carers wasn't a fab idea, it was but as this is now our third lockdown I think maybe more practical measures would be more welcome.
