Re: Three nails in four years

I have the exact same thing and get quite annoyed. 4 nails in 5 years ! I had to get a brand new tyre only last week. However I don’t think the police will be interested or can do anything about it.

Re: Poor au pair in Battersea Park

Dear CareerMum,

This is indeed unacceptable. Did you go and speak to the mum to tell her that her behaviour was inappropriate ?

Re: New boy medical examination

I think this is absolutely crucial for boys' testes to be examined and I guess it should be standard practice at the GP. As a mum of 3 boys I definitely want my boys to be checked from a very young age. This is routine practice in a lot of European countries as well. I know too many men with testicu...

Can you please recommend a 'drawing' class BTC ?

Dear members,

My 9 years old is completely crazy about drawing and has asked me if he could attend a drawing class. He is clearly not sporty at all but fairly good at drawing I have to say.
Could one of you recommend such a place between the commons ideally?
Many thanks in advance,

Minatoku.

Re: Husband wants to go on holiday on his own

I am surprised by the amount of people suggesting counselling.
Is that so strange to wish to travel on your own ? Does that automatically means the marriage is having problems ?

Re: Husband wants to go on holiday on his own

I will definitely let him go and I understand his point of view even though I am a woman. It is probably a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity and this is probably how he sees it. In exchange you can also do a lot of WE on your own or with your friends when he comes back. I agree that it can be a bit s...

Re: Belleville - ofsted 2007 - still outstanding?

Honestly you will never regret your choice. The staff is brilliant, the head master has lots of great and innovative ideas to go one step further and the PTA is very dedicated and motivated. You will also meet lots of lovely parents like us:)

Re: Is it common for nannies to have a work phone ?

I agree with all your answers and thank you very much for your feedback. I believe it all started on the 1st month when she called her home country many times from our landline which we clearly did not approve and told her that was not included in the package. This is when she said that it would be ...

Re: Belleville/Honeywell first offer distance?

You would be surprised but most of the children live very very locally. I have 2 daughters at Belleville and when you check the class list which includes addresses most children live within 5 mn walk. That might have been different before though...
